Ariana Grande and Big Sean Split

Very sad news for those who are fans of relationships between rappers and inappropriately sexy babies: Big Sean and Ariana Grande broke up.

The split has been confirmed by the couple's respective reps, who provided a joint statement to Us Weekly. "They both deeply care for each other and remain close friends," the statement read. "We kindly ask that the media respect their wish for privacy regarding this personal matter at this time."

The split comes as a bit of a surprise as Big Sean made headlines just days ago when Grande's father, Edward Butera, commented on one of Big Sean's Instagram photos, essentially jokingly warning Sean not to have sex with his daughter.

This is the second high-profile split for Big Sean in as many years, as the rapper was previously engaged to "Glee" star Naya Rivera. There were all kinds of rumors flying about that breakup, including one that Sean cheated on Rivera with Lea Michele.

This time around, it seems that the breakup came about simply because of touring schedules, which would keep the two apart for over a year.

In any case, we wish both sides of the couple luck in finding someone new, preferably someone who doesn't make them look like a child abduction case.
