Anti-Duggar Petition to Cancel '19 Kids and Counting' Reaches 100,000 Signatures The Duggars: you either love 'em or you hate 'em.

Right now, it's looking like at least 100,000 people hate 'em.

A petition asking TLC to cancel "19 Kids and Counting," the reality show that centers on the large Duggar family, has reached 100,000 signatures thanks to backlash over the family's anti-gay views.

The family is famous for their strictly religious lifestyle, with the show recently detailing the "courtship" of two of the Duggar daughters, Jessa and Jill. Under the house rules of the family's patriarch, Jim Bob, the kids aren't allowed to date without a chaperone, hold hands until they're engaged, or kiss until they're married.

What you don't see as much of on the show is the family's religious views coloring their political and social stances. On social media, though, the family members are much more outspoken. Recently, for example, Jessa Duggar compared the Holocaust to abortion in America to support her pro-life stance.

Just last week, following the wedding of Jessa to her fiance Ben Seewald, Jim Bob and wife Michelle posted a photo of them kissing onto their Facebook page, inviting married couples to post their own kissing photos.

"God designed marriage to be a loving, dynamic relationship between a husband and wife for a lifetime," they wrote. "God loves marriage and it is supposed to be full of love, joy, fun and romance. We challenge all married couples to take a happily married picture and post it here."

That plan completely backfired, with same-sex couples taking the opportunity to make a small protest by posting their kissing photos as well. When those same-sex photos were deleted from the page, the petition was born.

"The Duggars have been using their fame to promote discrimination, hate, and fear-mongering against gays and transgendered people," says a letter on the website from the petition's creator, Jim Wissick. "You need to take a stand on the side of justice and cancel their show."
