'Ant-Man' Is Advertising With Adorable, Tiny Billboards
by Andy Neuenschwander
If this isn't the cutest way to advertise a movie, we don't know what is.
Marvel is ramping up its ad campaign for "Ant-Man," the upcoming superhero flick starring Paul Rudd as a man who fights crime using a suit that can shrink him down to very tiny sizes. Already, the campaign has included a teaser trailer that was too small to see (which was followed by a full-sized one).
Their latest stunt is a series of tiny billboards, which have been spotted around Australia. Thus far they haven't been spotted in any other countries, which is a bummer since they're so dang adorable.
Not only is this a great marketing move since it's already being shared online thanks to the novelty of it, but it also has to be one of the cheapest methods of billboard advertising there is.
"Ant-Man" releases later this year, and you can expect there to be more advertising (and potentially more tiny gimmicks) after "Avengers: Age of Ultron" hits theaters in May.
