Anne Hathaway Ready to be a Mom

Newly married Anne Hathaway is bubbling with excitement over plans for her next major role—as a mother.

The lithe “Les Miserables” star opened up to America’s Glamour, saying, "Oh, my God. I want to be a mother, and I anticipate loving my children quite fiercely. I think about it all the time, though it's a silly thing to think about because the kind of mother I'll be depends on the kind of children I have. I can't wait to meet them."

She explained, “I’ve wanted to be a mom since I was 16, but I also wanted to have a career, so I have been chomping at the bit to be a mother for a really long time. I also had to find a baby daddy first—which now I have.”

Hathaway married future baby daddy Adam Shulman in September in a Californian ceremony after a short engagement. Shulman proposed early this year.

The proposal was a poorly kept secret. When Hathaway revealed to boyfriend Shulman that she was going to cut off her hair for the role of illness-stricken Fantine, Hathaway says, “My now husband looked at me with pride, joy, and slight panic. I said, ‘What’s the matter?’ and he said, ‘OK, without giving anything away about what is coming in the next few months, how do you feel about being a short-haired bride?’”

Hathway responded, “Noooooo!”

Apparently she got over her qualms quickly, because the two wed, and the happy couple aren’t shy about sharing their joy.

How cute a little mom would Hathaway be? Seriously.

Until her belly grows, check her out as a sickly thin prostitute when “Les Miserables” hits theaters this Christmas.
