Ann B. Davis of 'The Brady Bunch' Dies

Ann B. Davis of 'The Brady Bunch' Dies At 88-years old, Emmy winning actress Ann B Davis, best known for her role as housekeeper Alice on "The Brady Bunch," has passed away.

Following a fall in her home on Sunday, Davis died at a San Antonio hospital.

She was "the glue that held 'The Brady Bunch' together" remembered her old co-star Barry Williams, who played Greg. "She was already a big star when she joined 'The Brady Bunch,' won a couple of Emmys with 'The Bob Cummings Show,' and I knew this was someone I wanted to pay attention to, but she had a wicked sense of humor."

Other Brady members came out to express their sadness. Florence Henderson, who played matriarch Carol, tweeted about the loss.

"I'm so shocked & saddened to hear my dear friend & colleague Ann B Davis died today. I spoke with her a few months ago & she was doing great."

Maureen McCormick, who played Marcia Brady, said in a statement that Davis made her a better person.

"How blessed I am to have had her in my life. She will be forever missed."

Middle daughter Jan, played by Eve Plumb, also came forward to remember Davis.

"She was great to work with, and I have wonderful memories of our scenes together on 'The Brady Bunch.' She was kind and generous to all of us on set."
