Angelina Jolie Hints at Retirement

Angelina Jolie, whose Disney live-action "Maleficent" raked in a whopping $70 million on its opening weekend, has hinted that she might be settling down after her next role.

The 38-year-old beauty has hinted that an upcoming film surrounding the life of Cleopatra might be her last.

"It's one of those you feel like maybe that's the one you put everything into and that's where you end it. That's where you finish, in a great way. You kind of go, 'What could you do beyond that one?' Put it all into that one."

She's discussing a project that she has been attached to for years, but is only now starting to take form. James Cameron is rumored to direct (possibly in  3-D), with Sony Pictures at the helm. The film would be based on "Cleopatra: A Life," a book by Stacy Schiff.

"Physically, she's the perfect look," Schiff has mentioned of Jolie in the part.

"For Cleopatra, we've been working on it," Jolie told BBC radio. "There's been lots of different ideas of directors and a lot of different discussions. The script has been written by Eric Roth, who is a dear friend and a brilliant writer."

So why might this role be her grand finale?

"She's complicated," Jolie says of the famed Egyptian ruler. "It's complicated to get this one right. She's complicated. But I think we're getting there. It's very close. So if we can pull it off... I imagine that the preparation for it is going to be big."
