'Anchorman: The Legend Continues' Adds Greg Kinnear and Josh Lawson

Director Adam McKay is living up to his promise to bring us as many cameos as possible in “Anchorman: The Legend Continues.”

“We’re talking about… creating a murderer’s row of the best day players ever,” he has said of his goals for the “Anchorman” sequel.

“Like having every single one-line or three-line role be someone we just love.”

Add to the list actors Greg Kinnear and Josh Lawson, who will be making appearances in the comedy, now shooting in Atlanta.

The roles are both unspecified, but both men have experience in the comedy world. Veteran actor Kinnear has stretched his funny bone in films like “Little Miss Sunshine” and “Stuck on You,” while “House of Lies” actor Lawson has demonstrated his wide range in the popular show.

Also signed up to appear? Harrison Ford, for one, who will be playing a legendary anchorman, James Marsden, Kristen Wiig as a love interest for Brick Tamland, Meagan Good. and Dylan Baker.

Of course even the big names will be playing second fiddle to returning stars Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd, David Koechner, and Christina Applegate.

The script was penned by Ferrell and McKay, and the film is being produced by Judd Apatow. Executive producers Davis Householter, Kevin Messick, and Jessica Elbaum will round off the team, with Paramount releasing the movie at the end of this year (December 20th).

With so many great names on board, and a script years in the works, will “Anchorman” live up to the hype and it’s quotable history.

Let’s hope so. I’m in a glass case of suspense.
