Amy Winehouse's Publicist, Record Label Confirm Singer's Death

Well, it's official. As police reported earlier today, Amy Winehouse has, in fact, passed away.

Winehouse publicist Chris Goodman confirmed her death for CNN Saturday.

"Everyone who is involved with Amy is shocked and devastated," Goodman said. "Our thoughts are with her family and friends. The family will issue a statement when ready."

Universal, Winehouse's record label, released this statement:

"We are deeply saddened at the sudden loss of such a gifted musician, artist and performer. Our prayers go out to Amy's family, friends and fans at this difficult time."
