Amy Schumer Poses as Princess Leia... And Pisses Off Lucasfilm in the Process

Love her or hate her, Amy Schumer is everywhere these days... especially with her new comedy "Trainwreck" now theaters and garnering good buzz.
After a recent photo shoot for GQ, however, you can definitely file Disney and Lucasfilm under the "hate her" category. The "Inside Amy Schumer" star did a "Star Wars" themed photo shoot for the magazine's August issue, and the racy pictures had the studio quick to distance themselves after many took to Twitter to denounce the "lame" and "distasteful" spread, calling out Disney and Lucasfilm for allowing it.
"It's not surprising that GQ would want to capitalize on the cultural cachet of Star Wars, but Lucasfilm & Disney didn't approve, participate in or condone the inappropriate use of our characters in this manner," a rep tweeted on the official "Star Wars" feed, in response to seriously annoyed comments by fans.
In the spread, Schumer sucks on the finger of droid C-3PO, drinks with Chewbacca, dances with Storm Troopers, and spends a relaxing (presumably post-coital) night in bed with C-3PO and companion R2-D2.
GQ calls her "the funniest woman in the galaxy" in the interview.
“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” hits theaters December 18. You can check out Schumer alongside Bill Hader in "Trainwreck," directed by Judd Apatow, this Friday.
