'American Idol': Watch the Best Auditions from Pittsburgh

'American Idol': Watch the Best Auditions from Pittsburgh The search for season 11's contestants continued last Thursday as "American Idol" headed to Pittsburgh to continue the audition round. What they found was some more impressive talent, including a surprise or two that had them legitimately shocked.

Heejun Han was probably the biggest surprise of the day. Quiet, a little awkward, and very lacking in the self-confidence department, Han seemed doomed to be another guy to be ridiculed for her delusion about singing. But Han went in and blew the judges away with his surprisingly excellent voice, and remained humble the whole way: when he heard he was going through, he was so shocked he started crying. That's good television, folks!

Reed Grimm had raised the judges' eyebrowns when he came in (in flip flops) and said he was going to sing the theme song from "Family Matters." But then he launched into a jazzy rendition of the TV theme song, complete with some jazzy riffing, and received a ringing endorsement. Grimm may be the Casey Abrams of this year: unconventional, happy-go-lucky, and a unique singer.

Eben Franckewitz joined the ranks of the young'uns, of which there seemed to be more in Savannah. Even though he's just 15, Eben wowed the judges with his rendition of "Ain't No Sunshine" and could end up going far in the competition by winning over younger voters.
