'American Idol' Singer Pia Toscano Signs with Label, New Single Due Out Next Week

'American Idol' Singer Pia Toscano Signs with Label, New Single Due Out Next Week If you're going to get eliminated from "American Idol," just do it with some pizzazz and everything will be fine.

Take Pia Toscano, for example: the talented singer was looking good through the competition until a sub-par night had her up for elimination next to Stefano. In a shocking vote, Pia was eliminated, and the coaches couldn't do anything about it as they had already used their "save" on Casey Abrams.

So what's a freshly eliminated girl to do? Start working on getting signed to a label, of course! Pia has officially signed with Interscope Records and has an album in the works.

The full album won't be out until later, but you'll get to hear a piece of it next week when Pia releases her brand-new single. The song is titled "This Time" and will be out on July 12.

In a statement, Toscano expressed her gratitude: "I am thrilled to be joining the Interscope and 19 Recordings family. Jimmy Iovine was an amazing mentor during my time on 'Idol' and I’m looking forward to working with him and everyone at Interscope Records and 19 Recordings. This is a dream come true."

You'll also be able to hear Toscano sing on the "American Idol" tour, during which she will likely perform "This Time."
