'American Idol' Season 11, Episode 26 Recap - Which of the Top 8 Went Home? Apparently the very young contestants aren't the only ones who are way too young to remember the 80's. Even tonight's intro looked like it was done by someone with only a cursory knowledge of the 1980's. Vague VHS effects and radio tuning?

Treats for the night (if you want to call them that) included a first look at JLo's new music video, which involved a lot of glitter and an appearance from Pitbull, for whom I am going to go out on a limb and say that he's the least talented person in the music business today.

British pop group The Wanted was also present to perform their single "Glad You Came." That's right folks, boy bands are making a comeback. Prepare yourselves. Former contestant Kellie Pickler also showed up to perform one of her singles on the "American Idol" stage.

The first results for the night, which went by duet pairings, were for Jessica and Joshua, the latter of whom was feeling ill and had to be asked if he could stand center stage without passing out. Guess he was either really sick, or really dramatic. Joshua and Jessica were both safe. They were later joined by Colton, Skylar and Phillip.

That meant that the bottom three was DeAndre, Hollie and Elise, whose shaky performance was called a "good old-fashioned choke" by mentor Jimmy Iovine. However, Hollie was quickly sent back to the couches, leaving just Elise and DeAndre. In a surprise, Elise soon joined her, leaving DeAndre to sing for survival.

DeAndre gave a typical DeAndre performance, a bouncy reggae performance. However, when it came down to it, Jennifer told him "I only get one vote" and said that they would not be using their save, implying that Steven and Randy were the ones to vote DeAndre off.

It's a bit of a surprise that DeAndre got the boot, but we're at a point in the competition where it's clear who will be eliminated in the next few rounds (hint: today's bottom three is a good indication, plus maybe Skylar), it's just a question of what order they'll be eliminated in. Past that, look for Joshua, Jessica and Colton to duke it out for spots in the final.

Eliminated: DeAndre Brackensick
