'American Horror Story' Spoiler
by Shannon KeirnanIf you’re ready for some spoilers, here we go, folks. A nice juicy one concerning an upcoming “American Horror Story” plot.
Seriously, don’t skim this. I’m warning you, as a friend, that this is a pretty large spoiler.
Good? Proceed.
Dylan McDermott has been pretty excited about returning to the show, according to his Twitter. But now he gone and done it. He spoiled everything.
“I AM THE MODERN DAY BLOODYFACE!” McDermott tweeted.
Murphy had already confirmed this to Entertainment Weekly, so hopefully no one hit the floor when the news trended.
"Dylan is modern day Bloody Face. So the question is, Why is he the modern day Bloody Face? What is he doing? And that’s revealed in episode nine."
No caps? Apparently Murphy was just not as excited.
McDermott built up the suspense with other enthusiastic tweets before dropping the news.
“On the set of American Horror. I promise you will be thoroughly f***king satisfied.”
“Totally wiped out from working on American Horror Story. Giving blood on this one...”
“Today is my first day back on American Horror Story. Fasten your seat belts & get your airsickness bags ready. It's time to party!”
Anyone else get the feeling there’s a little self-promotion going on here?
Luckily the slipped secret might not surprise too many faithful fans, since the episode where Bloody Face contacts the police and taunts them with a voice fairly recognizable as McDermott’s.
McDermott appeared in season one as Dr. Ben Harmon. Now he will be taking over for Zachary Quinto, whose 1960's Bloody Face had a penchant for skinning women.
Can McDermott step in with the same level of creepy?
