'American Horror Story' Reveals Setting For Season Four

'American Horror Story' Reveals Setting For Season Four We've experienced a "Murder House," an "Asylum," and a "Coven."

What will the next season of "American Horror Story" bring us?

The answer came out accidentally. When writer Douglas Petrie was asked if season 4 will take place at a carnival, he replied instinctively with a "yes."

"Yes," confessed writer Douglas Petrie during the Nerdist Writer's Panel podcast. "It doesn't have a title, but that's the idea. Very roughly, that's the idea."

Co-creator and showrunner Ryan Murphy had previously revealed that the season will take place in 1950. Star Jessica Lange, he noted, "has always wanted to play a Marlene Dietrich figure, and now she gets to... If you look historically what happened in the year 1950, there's some clues in that year. It's a period piece. We try and do the opposite of what we've done before. Jessica Lange has already started practicing her German accent so I'm very excited!"

Co-star Sarah Paulson has also been working on a special "something," for the new season, which airs on FX in October. Speculations?
