'American Horror Story' Reveals Posters and Season 2 Premiere Date

'American Horror Story' Reveals Posters and Season 2 Premiere Date The series of fantastically creepy promos are behind us, so "American Horror Story" is kicking its promotional efforts for season two up to the next level.

That includes the key art for the second season, which has appeared in a series of posters revealed by EW. The posters are a bit of a review of the promos that we watched, enjoyed, and shuddered at: there's the nun in the woods with the bucket, the zip-up bath, and the scary staircase, this time presented in still image with a bit more color and clarity. And yep, still creepy.

But more importantly, the posters reveal what the videos didn't: the premiere date for the second season! The videos just said "October," but the posters reveal that "American Horror Story: Asylum" will make its debut on October 17.

That gives the show two weeks to get settled in before Halloween, and creator Ryan Murphy said that there will be another Halloween-themed episode this year. Mark your calendars, folks.

The second season will take on a new cast with only a couple of returning players and set them in a new location and a new time period. The setting for season two will be an insane asylum in the 1960's, with Jessica Lange, James Cromwell and Joseph Fiennes playing those in charge, while inmates include Chloe Sevigny, Adam Levine of "The Voice," returning cast member Zachary Quinto, and others.

Check out a couple of the posters below, and see the rest over at Entertainment Weekly.
