'American Horror Story' Promo #17 & #18: Forests and Aliens

We took a day off of the "American Horror Story" promos. We're sorry. We're back. We would never want to deprive you of the creepy goodness.

To be honest, the bite-sized promos haven't been all that creepy of late, just confusing. But that has changed with these latest two promos from Tuesday and Wednesday, which up the creepitude factor.

The first promo, titled "Exam," is a horrifying close-up of a patient's face, clearly in pain (or discomfort at the very least) and sitting under a very bright light. Considering what little we know of the horrors that terrorize the asylum of season two, you have to wonder: is this patient being examined by the asylum's doctors, or by the aliens that one of the characters claims to have seen?

The second promo, titled "The Woods," takes us back into the strange forest that surrounds the asylum. At first it looks serene and untouched, almost enchanted; then the mass of scrambling bodies come out from their hiding spots for a moment. Are these the Raspers that we've heard about? Or some kind of prison break from the asylum? And what does it mean that they decided to use the good ol' water drip sound effect there?
