'American Horror Story' Promo #16: Deceptively Cheerful

'American Horror Story' Promo #16: Deceptively Cheerful Never trust a creepy dude in the middle of the woods, even if he's holding a dandelion. That's what I always say.

Today's promo for "American Horror Story" is surprisingly cheery, considering the dark tone and visuals of the previous 15 installments in the series. But of course, nothing is as it seems when it comes to this show, so the cheeriness is just a ruse.

The promo features a young woman spinning around gleefully in the woods, dressed in the garb we've come to see from the asylum's patients in these teasers. She even has the restraints around her wrists, which brings to mind all those other patients strapped rather uncomfortably to their beds in the asylum. Quite a juxtaposition.

There's also the image of the creepy old guy with the dandelion, which suggests some kind of liaison between the two. Will one of the asylum's patients have a friend in the woods?

And all the while, there's the spooky, ambient rendition of "Que Sera Sera" in the background, this one featuring the segment about rainbows and sweethearts. Pretty sentimental for a horror show, don't you think?
