'American Horror Story' Actress Joins 'Walking Dead' Cast
by Andy Neuenschwander"The Walking Dead" already has zombies, but a ghost is about to join the cast soon.
Alexandra Breckenridge is set to join the cast of "The Walking Dead" this season in a recurring role with the potential to become a series regular next season. Breckenridge is best known for her role in the first season of "American Horror Story" as the young, sexy version of Moira, the Murder House's maid.
Few details are out yet about Breckenridge's character in "TWD," though there was a description the casting breakdown for the role. Her name, as of now, is Samantha, who is described as being intelligent, charming and strong but also having a vulnerable side. She's also described as "bohemian" and a "talented artist."
Of course, few of those details might actually be accurate, especially the name. Given the secrecy and spoiler-prevention around "The Walking Dead," that casting breakdown might have been for a fake role, and Breckenridge will end up playing a character familiar to the comics.
It's likely that there will be a number of new characters introduced this season on the show, as Rick and co. have left Terminus and are out on the road again.
The explosive season premiere of "The Walking Dead" was met with killer ratings yet again, bringing in about 17 million viewers and solidifying the show as AMC's powerhouse. The network has plans to do a spinoff of the show as well, focusing on other characters in the post-apocalyptic world.
