'Amelia Earhart' Beats 'Fear the Walking Dead' in Ratings

History’s “Amelia Earhart: The Lost Evidence” scored big ratings for the channel Sunday night.

The two-hour special purporting to show evidence that Earhart survived the 1937 crash of her airplane in the South Pacific drew 4.32 million viewers, the biggest audience on cable for the week. Its 0.9 rating among adults 18-49 tied for the lead Sunday.

The final two “Fear The Walking Dead” episodes of the summer were in line with recent ratings. The 9 p.m. episode drew a 0.9, and the 10 p.m. one came in at 0.8. “Power” also scored a 0.8 for Starz, up 0.2 from the previous week. “Claws” was steady at 0.4 on TNT. The premiere of documentary “The Defiant Ones” was just outside the top 25 with a 0.3.
