Is AMC Already Planning 'The Walking Dead' Season 4?
by Andy NeuenschwanderWe're still a few weeks away from the premiere of "The Walking Dead" season three, but it looks as though AMC is fully planning on renewing the show for a fourth season.
The evidence lies in a contest that the show is having, which offers blood donors the chance to win a walk-on role on "The Walking Dead" season four... a season that has not yet been announced.
Of course, there's always the explanation that the contest isn't legally binding (contestants can get a replacement prize if there is no fourth season), and AMC has reiterated that "TWD" is not yet renewed for a fourth season. But considering how well the show has been doing, it's more or less an inevitability. After all, the second season premiere and finale broke cable ratings records. How could AMC ever pass that up?
The third season was announced just a couple of episodes into season two, so you can bet that AMC will follow suit for the fourth season announcement. I guess they just have to wait to see if the entire cast is struck by a meteor or something before they order any more episodes.
In the meantime, you can catch the season three premiere of "The Walking Dead" on October 14. Check out the latest trailer.
