What Big Pipes You Have: Amanda Seyfried Sings 'Lil' Riding Hood'

While “Red Riding Hood” rocks the big screen with a female-centric version of the classic fairy tale, Amanda Seyfried is showing that she too has choices.

According to E! Online, Seyfried is sharing her sultry cover of “Lil' Red Riding Hood” (the 60’s song by Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs), a move which is not affiliated with the movie.

PopEater speculates that her strumming will “no doubt” inspire fans into the theatre.

The movie, co-produced by Leonardo DiCaprio and directed by “Twilight” director Catherine Hardwick, is failing to heat up the screens or warm audiences' hearts.

The basic reaction: the film tries too hard. Audiences have not been comfortable with the film, and critics have said that it aims to be too much to too many audiences.

Seyfried plays Valerie, a young woman who is torn between two men. She’s in love the orphaned wood-cutter, but her parents want her to marry the wealthy ironsmith. Valerie and her lover want to run away, until they learn Valerie’s older sister has been killed by the town’s werewolf.

Eventually, Valerie suspects the wolf could be someone she loves – which could make her werewolf bait, as well.
