Amanda Bynes Completes Counseling, Bong-Throwing Charges Dismissed By Court

Amanda Bynes is a free woman!

The charges against the "Easy A" actress were officially dropped following a rehabilitation program order by a judge after an incident back in May 2013. In that incident, Bynes was charged with criminal marijuana possession and tampering with evidence when she allegedly threw a bong out of the window of her high-rise NYC apartment.

Bynes had maintained at the time that the item was in fact a vase and not a bong, and that it had simply been knocked out of the window by accident. However, the 28-year-old actress' actions in public had become increasingly erratic, as had her Twitter account where she disputed the charges.

After a number of court dates and legal maneuvering, Bynes was ordered in January to attend six months of counseling in consideration of dismissal. As of this month, Bynes completed those six months of counseling, and her charges are dropped.

Additionally, Bynes has reportedly gotten her driver's license back, which was taken away after a number of alleged hit and run incidents, as well as suspicion of DUI.

Bynes returned to Twitter earlier in 2014, posting thanks for the birthday wishes that fans were sending her over the social network. She posted a few photos of her spring break in April, and put up another photo of herself and her sister in May.

For now, Bynes is studying at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Southern California.
