This One Time, at Band Camp: 'American Pie' Star Alyson Hannigan Spills 'American Reunion' Details

There's no turning back now. Shooting is under way this week in Atlanta for "American Reunion," the first flick in the "American Pie" franchise since the original to feature the entire original main cast, and Alyson Hannigan is already dishing to Entertainment Weekly about the story . . . including what's in store for our favorite ginger-headed band geek, Michelle.

"[Michelle and Jim are] still married and we have a child," she said. "So we're navigating the waters of parenthood and how that changes the dynamics of a relationship. But also they're going back to their high school reunion and so there's some nostalgia there."

But whatever is Alyson Hannigan appearing in an "American" sequel without rekindling her love of . . . ahem . . . certain woodwind instruments?

"There will be some (flute jokes)," she confirmed. "Yes, you know, it's a reunion... You will see the old band room at least."

The full cast reunion of Hannigan, Jason Biggs (Jim), Shannon Elizabeth, Mena Suvari, Tara Reid, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Chris Klein, Seann William Scott and Eugene Levy wasn't even made official until last week, when it was finally announced that Elizabeth had signed on. She hadn't appeared in an "American Pie" movie since a brief appearance in "American Pie 2." Reid left the franchise after the original.

"American Reunion" is set to hit theaters April 6, 2012.
