Are All Marvel Superheroes Murderers?
by EG
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is full of death, and the heroes of the MCU are repsonsible for a lot of it. There are, however, two superheroes who have yet to kill anyone in the MCU films. Read on to find out who they are.
In the Marvel Cinematic Universe it turns out that being a bad guy can be bad for your health β and that being a good guy is almost certainly going to mean that you get blood on your gloves sooner rather than later.
A thread on the Marvel Studios subreddit has tracked the deaths in all of the Marvel movies to date, and uncovered that, of all the studio's title heroes, only Spider-Man and the Wasp have not been complicit in a killing to date, a fact that would perhaps be more meaningful had the Wasp not just appeared for the first time in the very last Marvel release.
040 - Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018) ππππ . . My 40th movie at the cinema and it had to be a Marvels movie π€ . . Ant-Man π and the Wasp π picks up after Captain America: Civil War and falls in line with The Avengers: Infinity War. This time he joins forces with Hope van Dyne and Dr Hank Pym and of course, there is a new Villain π€ . . The movie is great, the plotline is interesting, the action is good, the special effects are good, the comedy timing is perfect, the villian is hmm okay etc. You get the gist. It is just as good as the first Ant-man movie ππ» . . Paul Rudd is great as Ant-Man and you see that his character has evolved. Evangeline Lilly is brilliant as The Wasp and boy can she kick ass ππ». Michael PeΓ±a will most definitely have you laughing out loud, he is just ace π€£! And, also take note there is a very exciting special appearance π . . This movie is definitely worth watching on the big screen. Fans of Marvel will appreciate it and it will appeal to all audiences. Like any other Marvels movie remember there are some post credit scenes. In fact, there are two post credit scenes so, make sure you stop and watch them. Go, go, go check it out! . . 4 out of 5 stars. Remember, itβs my opinion! . . #antmanandthewasp #antman #action #comedy #adventure #scifi #paulrudd #evangelinelilly #michaeldouglas #michaelpena #waltongoggins #bobbycannavale #judygreer #laurencefishburne #michellepheiffer #hannahjohnkamen #randallpark #marvels #comics #heroes #superhereos #hollywood #movies #films #filmcritic #cinema #blog #blogger #moviereview #myopinion
The thread, and attached spreadsheet, records the surprising numbers of deaths of major characters in the Marvel movies, as well as the method of death (A lot of stabbings) and who helped out with the deadly deeds. That last part is particularly important, as itβs only through assists that some of the heroes earn a place on the kill list: Black Widow, Hawkeye and, surprisingly, Captain America managed to avoid any firsthand murder β which, considering all three are literally government agents trained to kill, seems more than a little odd.
