All Grown Up: Lindsay Lohan, Hilary Duff Hug It Out
by Sean ComerOne's a fairly new mother. The other is the darling of Los Angeles County authorities.
One stepped largely off the Hollywood radar to raise a family. The other has a hard time landing big roles because her every moment behind a working automobile's wheel is a "24"-style countdown to property damage and/or bodily harm.
Different though they are, Hilary Duff and Lindsay Lohan have decided enough feuding is enough.
Star Magazine reports via Film News UK that the once-feuding actresses came together recently in the interest of burying a feud going back to Duff's break-out years on The Disney Channel's "Lizzie McGuire" and Lohan's circa "Mean Girls" and "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen." The whole kerfuffle started what feels like an epoch ago in 2003, when Lohan accused Duff of stealing the former "Parent Trap" remake star's then-boyfriend, Aaron Carter.
After years with few words between the two, a source claimed Duff "pleasantly surprised at how mature Lindsay was when they met up. Now they text all the time!"
Married to retired NHL center Mike Comrie, Duff just gave birth five months ago to the couple's first child, a son named Luca Cruz Comrie. Though her household is still probably bustling with the demands of new motherhood, Duff has reportedly extended an olive branch to Lohan of staying with the pair to rebuild her life after years spent jumping from one stint on the wrong side of the law to the next.
"[Lindsay] feels like Hilary could be a good influence - she has a healthy marriage, just had a baby and doesn't care about clubbing," sources say. "Hilary has already put the word out to her husband, Mike, to think about potential setups for Lindsay."
