'Community' Star Alison Brie (aka Trudy from 'Mad Men') in New Film from 'How I Met Your Mother' Scribe Jason Segel

'Community' Star Alison Brie (aka Trudy from 'Mad Men') in New Film from 'How I Met Your Mother' Scribe Jason Segel There's a lot for comedy nerds to be excited about the announcements coming out about "Five-Year Engagement." First off, the script was co-written by Jason Segel ("How I Met Your Mother") and Nicholas Stoller, who worked together on the underrated comedy "Forgetting Sarah Marshall."

Emily Blunt, who was stellar in "Sunshine Cleaning," is also set to star opposite Segel in the romantic comedy. As if that wasn't enough, comedy producing geniuses Judd Apatow and Shauna Robertson are set to executive produce the movie.

Could it get any better? Yep: the word is out that Alison Brie will be co-starring in the film as well!

Brie is well-known to TV watchers as Annie on "Community" and as Trudy on "Mad Men." She has proven her dramatic chops on the AMC show, but her talent for comedy shines in "Community," which is truly one of the best comedies on television right now.

"Five-Year Engagement" focuses on the engagement between Segel and Blunt's characters who (as you might be able to guess) are mired in a very long engagement. Brie has been cast as Blunt's sister, and will apparently be employing an English accent for the role, which is almost too cute to imagine.

Alison Brie has been busy lately, not only filming "Community" and "Mad Men," but also having just wrapped production on indie comedy "Montana Amazon" (co-starring Haley Joel Osment) and "Scream 4," the latest in the Wes Craven horror series.
