Alec Baldwin's Talk Show Moved to Terrible Time Slot

Whether or not Alec Baldwin really did punch someone over a parking spot last week, he's still gotten himself into an unflattering controversy, and that isn't sitting well with ABC, the home network of his new talk show. It also doesn't help that the show is one of the network's least-watched programs. Read on to see how ABC is dealing with the situation.

ABC has delivered a blow to hothead actor Alec Baldwin by moving his poorly rated TV show to a less desirable time slot — just days after he was accused of punching a man over a parking spot.

The network announced Tuesday that repeats of “Shark Tank” will replace “The Alec Baldwin Show” pre-taped episodes at 10 p.m. Sundays effective Nov. 18, according to Variety.

The Bloviator’s eponymous show will resume in its new time slot on Saturdays at 10 p.m. beginning Dec. 8.

“The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Holiday Special” and “The Sound of Music” also will air Sunday nights.

The news also comes less than a week after the ill-tempered thespian was arrested for allegedly slugging a guy over a parking spot near his East Village apartment.

He was released hours later, claiming that the charge he had punched Wojciech Cieszkowski — who had swooped in with his Saab and claimed the spot — was “egregiously misstated.”

“The assertion that I punched anyone over a parking spot is false,” he wrote on his family foundation’s Twitter account.

Baldwin’s show ranks as one of ABC’s lowest-rated programs and its last episode only attracted 1.5 million viewers, according to Variety, a leading Hollywood trade publication.

The actor recently recognized that his series was on shaky ground.

“We’re making a good show here,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “I mean, who knows if we survive? ABC’s not doing very well. We could get out there, show four or five episodes, and be dead.”
