Adrianne Palicki of 'Friday Night Lights' Joins 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'

Adrianne Palicki of 'Friday Night Lights' Joins 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Hey, so that whole Wonder Woman thing didn't turn out for "Friday Night Lights" star Adrianne Palicki. That's okay!

Palicki is about to get another chance to play a superhero on television, this time as part of the cast of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." The actress will be taking on the role of Bobbi Morse, also known as Mockingbird (not to be confused with the Mockingjay).

Interestingly, this could have implications for a potential "Avengers" tie-in. You see, Mockingbird and Hawkeye are an item, so seeing as Jeremy Renner plays Hawkeye in the Avengers movies, there's a chance that he could end up on the show, or Palicki could end up in the movies.

The ABC show is just one of what will soon be a whole slate of episodic shows in the Marvel universe, as Netflix has plans for series involving Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Jessica Jones.

Buzz for the show's second season is ramping up already, with a mysterious billboard having recently gone up in Los Angeles. The billboard actually says nothing about the show, but rather features some strange, alien markings.

What could it mean? We'll have to find out on September 23 during the premiere!
