Activision Presents The 'Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2' Worldwide Reveal Trailer

Activision Presents The 'Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2' Worldwide Reveal Trailer The six months plus between this very moment and the "Call of Duty: Black Ops 2" street date for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows platforms probably couldn’t feel a whole lot more insurmountable. But Sgt. Frank Woods has waited a long time – his patience abounds.

In the meantime, with more details probably forthcoming at June’s E3, Activision has finally sated first-person shooter aficionados and released their oft spun-off "Call of Duty" legacy’s latest worldwide reveal trailer, courtesy of Examiner.com and the official "Call of Duty" YouTube channel.

If the premiere "Call of Duty: Black Ops" outing proved nothing else, it’s that there must be more efficient ways to wipe out the Sergeant than mere fragmentation devices.

One June 19, 2025, Woods raises a leathery, tattooed forearm from the wheelchair to which he’s been confined in The Vault, and half-snarks to us all with eyes that still burn a little like coals, “Aside from the fact that I’m still alive, none of this surprises me.

“Technology got stronger. We got weaker,” he sneers, sounding just a little like Solid Snake. A gameplay montage follows, plotting the evolutionary rise of man’s war machines as Woods finally leans up and lays it out unmistakably: nations may steal one another’s machines, but when they do, it’s then a dying, unpredictable breed of soldier that becomes the X–factor in defeat or survival.

The footage itself presents a symphony of destruction sung by devices of battle from Mi-24 Hinds and a Harrier Jump Jet and F-22’s odd lovechild, to gun-blazing horseback duels.

The trailer paints an intriguing mosaic of vehicular assault and squad combat that should be a feast for the feisty armchair leatherneck. But as a good man once said, you don’t have to take my word for it. Enjoy the reveal.
