'Act of Valor' Trailer Features Real Navy SEAL Action (VIDEO)

What do you get when you take some ex-stuntmen, add in some real Navy SEALs, and start filming? Apparently, what you get is a film called "Act of Valor."

The new film started as a recruitment video for the military, but somewhere along the line those involved realized that they had a chance to do something we don't often see in movies: show the real thing. Thus, "Act of Valor" was born: a film following a group of Navy SEALs as they take on a series of covert missions.

Here's the cool part: the actors in the movie are actual active-duty Navy SEALs, the missions they take on in the movie are based on actual missions, and the tactics they use to complete the missions and be generally bad-ass are actual tactics.

The trailer, which just hit the Web, shows us just how cool the real deal can be. How about that part where the guy in the water catches the dude who just got sniped so he doesn't make a splash? How awesome is that? Plus, it looks like there's some cool stuff going on here with POV shots and interesting camera placement.

There's no release date for the movie yet, but it's expected out in early 2012.
