"30 Rock" does well when it comes to securing quality guest stars. Nothing's changing on that front in the final season. The NBC comedy has booked "Breaking Bad"'s Bryan Cranston and veteran actress Catherine O'Hara to appear as Kenneth's parents in the coming campaign.

Joss Whedon believes it's apparent by now that "The Avengers" brought a lost kind of fun back to summer movies. With $1.5 billion grossed worldwide, it's very hard to argue that point. But here's a surprise: he feels it could have been better.....and, maybe, shorter.

OK, Simon Cowell can now be cut a little slack. Sure, he's not exactly beloved for showering bad singers with niceties, but he's also quite the live-saver.....no, really. The "X Factor" judge and executive producer just saved nine people and prevented their ship from sinking.

The "dawg" days have ended, folks. It's seemingly official that Randy Jackson has made the eleventh season his last as a judge, after being with the series on-camera since the show's inception. He'll remain with the prime-time FOX hit, but only in a "mentor" role.
