The critical response to NBC's "The Sound of Music Live" was not positive, but more than 18 million people tuned in to the musical when it aired on Thursday. That's a big enough number to encourage the network to postpone a holiday classic in order to squeeze in another airing of "Sound of Music" before Christmas.

The Golden Globe Awards unveiled their nominations this week, and as always the ranks of nominees were filled with A-list stars. There was a big name or two missing from the list, however, and some observers were surprised that the traditionally celeb-friendly Golden Globes missed the chance to nominate the likes of Oprah Winfrey and Harrison Ford.

Despite having the best debut of any new series this season and being tied to the biggest movie franchises going these days, ABC's "Marvel's Agents of SHIELD" is struggling in the ratings. After a week off, the series returned this week with optimism that things were about to turn around. But they didn't.

If you've been wondering how Lionsgate is going to split Mockingjay, the third book in the Hunger Games trilogy, into two movies, this might be your answer.
Today on the official Hunger Games Facebook page, the production announced the casting of Robert Knepper as "Antonius."
That led to much confusion among fans, as many of them could not remember a character named Antonius in the books.

Some Titanic-sized congratulations are in order!
Kate Winslet has given birth to a baby boy, as confirmed by E! Online. The new addition to the family is Winslet's first child with husband Ned Rocknroll, and Winslet's third child overall.
There are only few details about the baby as of yet: The boy was born today weighing in at 9 lbs, and is perfectly healthy.
Interestingly, while the baby's first name hasn't been revealed yet, it is rumored that the baby's last name is Winslet, not Rocknroll.

Are we entering a new era of live TV musicals?
The results are in from last night's live broadcast of "The Sound of Music Live!" on NBC, and it's looking like the network's gamble has paid off.
The TV musical brought in a reported 18.5 million total viewers, with a 4.6 rating in the coveted 18-49 demographic alone. That makes last night the highest-rated Thursday night, excluding sports, since the series finale of "ER" more than four years ago.
