Watch 50 Cent's Trailer for 'Things Fall Apart' Online. See The Movie in Theaters? Questionable. The trailer for 50 Cent’s movie “Things Fall Apart” is making rounds through the Internet, following its premiere at the Miami Film Festival last weekend.

A voice over in the trailer hails 50's performance as the “most critically acclaimed role of 50's career.” Actual reviews are currently limited, but expected to surface any day - following the release date (which by chance, has not been announced).

As the film builds hype, audiences can catch the unofficial preview of the movie that is loosely based on the life of 50’s childhood friend. In the film, 50 plays an NFL hopeful who is diagnosed with cancer. For the role, 50 lost more than 50 lbs.

According to MTV, 50 said he was able to make it happen because he financed the movie himself.

"There's not a whole lot of actual situations where a studio will break for four months to allow the talent to make the transition they allowed Tom Hanks to make in 'Philadelphia,' " he told MTV. "You gotta be Tom Hanks for that to happen."

The film also stars Ray Liotta, and the trailer features Nelly’s song “Just a Dream.”
