The 5 Best Super Bowl Commercials of 2015
by Andy Neuenschwander
At this point, there are two different camps as far as the Super Bowl is concerned: those who are still talking about the interception, and those who are still talking about Katy Perry and the commercials.
So while we could bore you with all the different reasons why throwing the ball out of shotgun formation on the 2-yard line with one of the best running backs in the NFL on your roster is a bad idea, let's take a look at some of the best Super Bowl commercials instead.
Esurance: Say My Name
Esurance had another pretty solid offering in the same vein with a Lindsay Lohan ad, but anytime we can get "Breaking Bad" star Bryan Cranston back in his role as Walter White, we'll take it. Bonus points if you get Bryan Cranston as Walter White doing comedy.
Chevrolet: Broken TV Fake-Out
This commercial was simple but effective. How many of you out there panicked just a little when this one aired? We know we did.
Always: #LikeAGirl
This commercial wasn't a new thing since the #LikeAGirl idea has been around for a while, but for many it was the first time seeing the ad. Not only is it effective and attention-grabbing, it also carries a pretty great social message.
Nationwide: Invisible Mindy Kaling
What would you do if you were invisible? Mindy Kaling would eat a lot of ice cream and try to smell celebrities. Between this and "Interstellar," Matt Damon has had a pretty big year of unexpected cameos.
Snickers: Brady Bunch
Sure, Snickers has been riding the "you aren't yourself when you're hungry" premise in their ads for years now, but if it ain't broke, why fix it? This one features Danny Trejo (carrying an axe instead of a machete, most likely for copyright infringement purposes) and another celebrity cameo in a classic sitcom environment.
