10 Fan-Imagined Crossovers That Need To Be Real Things
by Sean ComerCrossovers? Why the hell not?!
Sometimes, two great tastes go great together. Combine two unrelated things' best parts, and the whole is more awesome than the sum. In the end, we're often left wondering who should've really thought of this combination sooner.
Others ... well, for as amazing as the end results may be, we still must just shake our heads and admit that the Internet, in particular, has far too much time on its many, many idle hands. Still, let's spark a "What if...?" on this fine Sunday.
BuzzFeed has presented 10 incredibly intriguing - or at the very least, visually appealing - crossover concepts between sometimes much alike, sometimes diametrically opposed franchises. A few even seem like things that somebody with the right resources - or even the franchises' creators themselves, were they so motivated to have some fun - could absolutely make happen in some way, shape or form.
Which ones? Well, that depends: how often do you clamor for a "My Little Pony"-meets-"Star Wars" event?
"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" Meets "X-Men"
"Community" In The Style Of "Street Fighter"
"My Little Pony" Meets "Star Wars"
(Thought I was kidding, didn't you? Bronies, folks.)
"Doctor Who" Meets "Sherlock"
(Come on, BBC. This is not only within your wheelhouse, it's within your means. You once mashed up "EastEnders" and "Doctor Who," for Gallifrey's sake!)
"The Dark Knight" Meets "Star Wars"
Disney Princesses In The Style Of "Sailor Moon"
"The Avengers" In The Style Of "Adventure Time"
Batman Meets Jay Z
"Parks and Recreation" Meets "Justice League"
And finally, the one that should forever and ever be to Fox's shame that the network never made this a thing....
"Arrested Development" In The Style Of "The Simpsons"
