Zenon Kar, the teenage inhabitant of the space station "Galileo," is excited to celebrate the arrival of the new millennium. However, her excitement is dashed when she and her best friend Nebula, who is also a resident of the station, are reprimanded for pulling a prank on the station's first lady. As punishment, Zenon is sent to live on Earth with her Aunt Judy, who is having trouble keeping her struggling Rocket Ship rental business afloat.

Once on Earth, Zenon is stunned to find that everything is different from life in space. She struggles to adjust to Earth's gravity, which makes her fall flat on the ground at first. Zenon believes that she has found the solution to save the Earth and must now convince everyone that she is telling the truth.

Zenon's quest becomes even more complicated when Margie offers to help her, but Zenon refuses to accept her help, still bitter about the job. Zenon comes across a rival pop band with an evil agenda that's looking to unite with Protozoa. She must figure out who is who, who to trust, and whom not to trust.
