Yuva is a 2004 Indian political thriller film directed by Mani Ratnam. The plot of the movie revolves around three individuals who are seemingly unrelated, but are connected by fate. The movie explores the issues of youth and politics in India. The movie starts by showing three different characters: Michael Mukherjee (Ajay Devgn), Lallan Singh (Abhishek Bachchan), and Arjun Balachandran (Vivek Oberoi). Michael is a student activist who is passionate about changing India and becoming a politician. Lallan is a local goon who indulges in illegal activities for a living. Arjun is a college student who is passionate about fighting corruption and inequality.

The three characters meet each other by chance and their lives change forever. Michael and Arjun are on a train when Lallan and his gang board the train and start harassing the passengers. Lallan tries to assault a girl and Michael stops him. A fight ensues, and Lallan hits Michael with a rod, leaving him unconscious. Arjun sees this and tries to stop Lallan, but he is also badly beaten up. The incident leaves all three characters traumatized.

The movie then explores the lives of the three characters and how their lives intertwine with each other. Michael becomes a politician and is contesting in the elections. Arjun joins his campaign as a volunteer and helps Michael in his campaign. Lallan becomes a henchman for a local politician who is Michael's rival in the elections.

As the election progresses, Michael becomes more and more corrupt and power-hungry. He starts using violent tactics to win the elections and Arjun is disillusioned with Michael's methods. Arjun leaves Michael's campaign and starts working for the opposition. Lallan also realizes that he has been used by politicians for their benefit and decides to take revenge on them.

The movie then takes a different turn when a bomb explodes at a political rally, killing many people. The police arrest Arjun for the blast, and he is tortured to confess. Lallan tries to rescue Arjun but is also caught by the police. Michael realizes his mistake and helps Arjun and Lallan escape from the police. He then sacrifices his political career to do what is right for the country.

The movie ends with a message of hope and redemption. The characters realize that they are not different from each other and that they all have the power to change the society they live in.
