You Shoot, I Shoot is a dark comedy from Hong Kong that was released in 2001. The film stars Eric Kot as Bart, a struggling filmmaker who has become fed up with the competition and the lack of respect he receives in the Hong Kong movie industry. He decides to take a different approach to his career and becomes a hitman who captures his kills on camera.

Bart meets up with a former classmate, a low-level triad member named Chuen (Tat-Ming Cheung). Chuen takes a liking to Bart's unique approach to his job and decides to hire him as his personal hitman. However, Chuen has a few stipulations. He wants to be the focus of the documentary and he refuses to allow Bart to kill anyone he knows.

As Bart begins to make a name for himself in the criminal underworld, he quickly realizes that the job is much harder than he anticipated. He finds himself getting emotionally attached to some of his clients and struggling to separate his work from his personal life.

Things become even more complicated when Bart meets a beautiful Japanese woman named Asuka (Asuka Higuchi). Asuka is a hitwoman herself and she is sent to Hong Kong to take out a high-profile target. Bart and Asuka cross paths in a coffee shop and the two professional killers begin to flirt and eventually enter into a romantic relationship.

As Bart's reputation grows, he becomes the target of his competitors who want to take him out. Bart and Chuen must work together to protect themselves and to keep their business afloat. Meanwhile, Bart's relationship with Asuka becomes strained as she begins to question his moral compass and his motivations for being a hitman.
