The Windsor Protocol is a 1997 action-thriller movie directed by George Mihalka and starring Kyle MacLachlan, Macha Grenon, and Chris Wiggins. The movie tells the story of an American diplomat, David Pollock, who gets caught up in a deadly conspiracy after he is mistaken for a spy. David Pollock is a brilliant linguist working for the United States government. He is summoned to the British Museum in London by a beautiful woman named Jenny, who wants him to translate an ancient manuscript called the Windsor Protocol. The manuscript is said to contain the secret location of a lost treasure, and she wants David to help her find it.

David is initially hesitant to help her, but he is soon swept up in a dangerous game of espionage and deception. He discovers that the manuscript is highly coveted by various international factions, all of whom are willing to do whatever it takes to get their hands on it. As David and Jenny try to unravel the mystery of the manuscript, they are pursued by a ruthless band of assassins who want to kill them and steal the manuscript for themselves.

The Windsor Protocol is an action-packed ride filled with thrilling car chases, shootouts, and close encounters with danger. The chemistry between Kyle MacLachlan and Macha Grenon is electric, and they work well together as they try to stay one step ahead of their enemies. Chris Wiggins also gives a memorable performance as the enigmatic Sir Trevor, who seems to know more than he lets on.

One of the strengths of the movie is its attention to detail. The filmmakers went to great lengths to accurately depict the world of espionage and espionage techniques. The movie is full of gadgets and spy gear, such as hidden microphones and secret compartments in cars. The attention to detail makes the movie feel immersive and adds to the overall sense of tension and danger.

The Windsor Protocol also boasts some impressive action set pieces. There are several thrilling car chases that take place on narrow, winding roads, and the shootouts are well choreographed and exciting. The stunt work is also impressive, and there are several scenes that will leave viewers on the edge of their seats.

Despite its many strengths, The Windsor Protocol is not without its flaws. The plot is a bit convoluted, and some of the twists and turns feel contrived. Additionally, some of the dialogue is a bit clunky and melodramatic, and there are some pacing issues in the middle of the movie.

However, despite these flaws, The Windsor Protocol remains a highly entertaining thriller that is sure to keep viewers engaged from beginning to end. The chemistry between the two leads is infectious, and the action sequences are thrilling and well-executed. Fans of action-thrillers will find a lot to enjoy in The Windsor Protocol.
