Watch Willy the Sparrow

Willy is a typical boy who enjoys playing make-believe. However, some of his games involve abusing the family cat and frightening sparrows. One day an old woman calling herself the Sparrow Guardian turns Willy into a Sparrow to teach him a lesson. As a human in sparrow form, Willy must learn how to fly and avoid danger. In return for flying lessons, he teaches an older sparrow to read human words. While gaining understanding for the sparrows he frightened, Willy also makes peace with the cat and learns lessons that will serve him well when he is a boy again.
