In the comedy film What Every Woman Wants, a newly wed couple have no option but to move in with the husband's parents whilst trying to maintain their relationship without any privacy.
Young couple Mark and Jane are forced to thrash out marital problems in a borrowed room in Jane’s parents’ tiny house. Meanwhile, Jane’s cousin, Jim - back from the war in Korea - and Mark’s involvement in left-wing politics place further strain on the relationship.
The film was based on the play Relations Are Best Apart by Edwin Lewis.
