Watusi is a 1959 adventure film directed by Kurt Neumann and starring George Montgomery, Taina Elg, and David Farrar. The film is set in Africa and follows the journey of a group of explorers who embark on a perilous quest to find legendary treasure hidden deep in a jungle. The movie begins with a group of American and British explorers led by John Storm (George Montgomery) arriving in Tanzania with the hopes of discovering treasures in the African wilderness. Storm, an experienced guide, had previously heard of the legendary treasure of King Solomon and was convinced that he could find it. The group, which includes the beautiful Tana Roberts (Taina Elg), a woman with whom Storm develops a romantic relationship, also hires a couple of native porters to help them navigate the treacherous terrain.

As they embark on their journey, the group must navigate through dangerous wild animals, treacherous landscapes, and hostile native tribes. Along the way, they also encounter a few colorful characters, including a shady hotel owner who tries to exploit them, and a German scientist who has been living alone in the jungle for several years.

The group finally arrives at their destination, a hidden cave deep in the jungle that is said to hold King Solomon's treasure. However, they quickly realize that the journey had only just begun as they encounter numerous obstacles that stand in their way. They must navigate through a maze of traps and snares set up by the indigenous tribes to protect their land, and they must also face off against a rival group of treasure hunters who will stop at nothing to get their hands on the riches.

The movie is a classic adventure film that showcases the beauty and danger of the African wilderness. The film is shot on location, and the stunning scenery and landscapes are showcased in all their glory. The movie also features a great soundtrack that captures the essence of the African wilderness.

George Montgomery is excellent as the lead character, John Storm. He brings a rugged charm to the role and is convincing as an experienced guide who has seen it all. Taina Elg is also great as Tana Roberts, the love interest of Storm. She brings a sense of strength and determination to the role, which makes her more than just a pretty face.

David Farrar plays the villainous treasure hunter, Paul Dager, who is willing to do whatever it takes to get his hands on the treasure. He is perfect in the role and brings a sense of menace to the character that makes him a worthy adversary to Storm and his group.

Overall, Watusi is an enjoyable adventure film that will appeal to anyone who enjoys a classic action-adventure movie. The film has all the elements of a great adventure story, including hidden treasures, wild animals, treacherous landscapes, and of course, a daring hero trying to overcome all the odds to succeed. The movie is a great reminder of the importance of perseverance and the power of the human spirit in overcoming all obstacles.
