Wander is a 2020 American thriller movie directed by April Mullen, which follows the story of Aaron Eckhart's character Arthur Bretnik, a mentally unstable private investigator, investigating a suspicious death in a small town. Arthur suffers from hallucinations and paranoia, and he believes that there is a larger conspiracy behind the death he is investigating. His investigation leads him to unravel a deadly conspiracy involving a mind control program and a corporate mogul.

Arthur is a former police officer who has been struggling with mental illness after witnessing the brutal murder of his daughter. He is hired by a woman named Elsa Viceroy, who believes that her daughter has been murdered. Elsa tells Arthur that her daughter was working on a project exposing a powerful corporation, Wanderlust, and its CEO, David Plowman, who Elsa believes are behind her daughter's death. Elsa is convinced that Arthur can help her find the truth, given his past experience as a cop.

Arthur follows the clues he finds and starts to uncover a plot involving a pharmacological experiment gone wrong, where Wanderlust Corporation had been experimenting with mind control drugs. The tests caused severe mental breakdowns in the test subjects, including Arthur's daughter. Arthur begins to unravel the terrifying truth behind the death of Elsa's daughter, which involves a far-reaching conspiracy that cannot be ignored.

Along his journey, Arthur teams up with a Federal Agent named Jimmy Cleats, played by Tommy Lee Jones, who is also investigating the death of Elsa's daughter. Cleats and Arthur team up to unravel the mystery surrounding Wanderlust Corporation, and the more they discover, the more they realize how deep the rabbit hole goes.

Katheryn Winnick's character Shelley Luscomb, Elsa's lawyer, is also drawn into the conspiracy, and the trio becomes entangled in a fight for their lives as they try to bring those responsible to justice.

Wander is a gripping and thought-provoking mystery-thriller. Aaron Eckhart's performance as Arthur Bretnik is masterful, as he navigates his character's mental instability and obsession with uncovering the truth. Tommy Lee Jones and Katheryn Winnick also deliver powerful performances, adding depth and complexity to their respective roles.

Visually, the movie is a treat. Wander takes place in a bleak and mysterious small town, which heightens the movie's tense atmosphere. The cinematography is skillful, and the movie does an excellent job of using imagery and color to build suspense.

Overall, Wander is a fantastic thriller that keeps you guessing until the end. It delivers an intriguing storyline, excellent acting, and stunning visuals, making it well worth a watch. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a thought-provoking mystery movie.
