The movie revolves around a happily married couple, Lucy (Christina Cox) and Michael (Marc Menard), who have been trying to start a family but have been unsuccessful. They turn to adoption and find a 9-year-old girl named Emily, whom they adopt and bring home with them.
As they welcome Emily into their lives, Lucy starts to experience some strange occurrences. She begins to receive mysterious phone calls and disturbing messages from an unknown source. Lucy is convinced that someone is watching her and that her life and her family's lives are in danger.
With her husband away on business for long periods of time, Lucy turns to her best friend, Kara (Ali Liebert), for support. As Lucy tries to uncover the identity of the mysterious caller, she starts to realize that the people closest to her may not be who they seem.
As the plot thickens, Lucy discovers that Emily has a troubling past and she begins to suspect that her daughter's biological mother may be the one responsible for the threatening messages. Determined to protect her family, Lucy takes matters into her own hands and embarks on a dangerous journey to uncover the truth.
Throughout the movie, Lucy is haunted by her own demons and fears, as well as her growing mistrust of those around her. As she delves deeper into the mystery, she becomes more and more paranoid, leading to some intense and thrilling scenes.
