Andy Warhol films are not for everyone. Warhol was one of the preeminent artists of the 20th century. Perhaps best known for iconic silkscreen images of soup cans and celebrities, Warhol also experimented with a variety of artistic media including film. Warhol made a number of controversial experimental films. Vinyl is a 1965 film based on the novel A Clockwork Orange. The film features Warhol protégé Edie Sedgwick. It also features music by The Rolling Stones, Martha and the Vandellas and The Isley Brothers. Warhol fans may appreciate the film as may anyone interested in the counterculture of the 1960s.
