Velayudham is a 2011 Tamil-language action-thriller directed by M. Raja and starring Joseph Vijay, Genelia D'Souza, and Hansika Motwani. With the help of his love interest, district collector Renuka (Hansika Motwani), and his friend (Santhanam), Velayudham becomes a vigilante and disguises himself as a censor board officer during the day and a superhero during the night. He strikes fear into the hearts of Shankar Anna's followers, and his actions give the citizens hope that they will be free from Anna's clutches.
