The film revolves around Chuttalabbai, a small-time thief who dreams of becoming rich and famous. However, his life takes unexpected turns when he falls in love with a girl from a wealthy family and gets involved in a kidnapping plot.
The movie begins with Chuttalabbai (Nikhil Siddharth) leading a petty thief's life in a small town in Andhra Pradesh. He is lazy, mischievous, and constantly on the lookout for opportunities to earn easy money. His mother (Jayasudha) and sister (Anita Hassanandani) worry about his future and are constantly urging him to find a decent job.
One day, Chuttalabbai falls in love with Nandini (Pooja Bose), a rich girl from a neighboring village. He follows her around and tries to impress her with his antics, but she ignores him. However, he soon learns that Nandini is being forced into a marriage by her father (Suman). Chuttalabbai decides to help her, but to his horror, he realizes that the girl he loves is engaged to a ruthless villain, Kattabomman (Sayaji Shinde).
Chuttalabbai decides to kidnap Nandini and get the ransom money from her father. But things take an unexpected turn when Kattabomman also reveals his intention to kidnap Nandini for his own purposes. So, Chuttalabbai joins forces with Kattabomman to kidnap Nandini and collect the hefty ransom money.
The rest of the movie is a rollercoaster ride of twists and turns, with Chuttalabbai constantly getting into trouble and trying to find a way out. The humor in the movie is situational and dialog-driven, with the characters' quirks and idiosyncrasies adding to the comic effect. The slapstick comedy and witty one-liners keep the audience entertained throughout the movie.
Nikhil Siddharth's performance as Chuttalabbai is top-notch, and his comic timing is impressive. He effortlessly switches between the humorous and emotional scenes, giving a nuanced portrayal of his character. Pooja Bose as Nandini is charming and provides great support to the movie's light-hearted tone.
Suman as Nandini's father and Sayaji Shinde as Kattabomman deliver competent performances, adding weight and gravity to their respective roles. However, it is Venu Madhav's performance as Chuttalabbai's sidekick, a character named Bokka Venkateshwarlu, that steals the show. His impeccable comic timing and perfect expressions make him a delight to watch.
The movie's music score by Chakri is soulful, with songs that blend well with the narrative. The cinematography by Santonio Terzio captures the beauty of the small town and its surroundings, adding to the movie's charm.
