Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam is a Tamil romantic comedy film released in 2013. The film is directed by Ponram and stars Sivakarthikeyan, Sathyaraj, Sri Divya, Soori, and Soundararaja in crucial roles. The movie is produced by P. Madan under the banner of Escape Artists Motion Pictures. Set in a small village, the film revolves around Bosepandi (Sivakarthikeyan), a carefree and fun-loving youth who spends his time with his friends Chittappa (Soori) and Parthasarathy (Soundararaja) in his village. Bosepandi is a mischievous lad who does everything to evade lessons and roaming around the village with his friends.

One day he meets Lathapandi (Sri Divya), a beautiful and cheerful girl who comes to his village along with her family. Bosepandi falls in love with Lathapandi at first sight. However, Lathapandi’s father (Sathyaraj) is always against love and wants his daughter to get married to a rich guy. Bosepandi tries various antics to get Lathapandi’s love, but she doesn’t reciprocate.

To impress Lathapandi, Bosepandi starts a youth movement named Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam (The Youngsters Association who don't compromise), which aims to solve the problems faced by the villagers. Though Lathapandi initially resists Bosepandi’s attempts, as she gets to know him better, she starts to like him.

Meanwhile, Bosepandi’s father (Sriman) is a drunkard who leaves his mother, leading Bosepandi to be the sole breadwinner in his family. When Bosepandi's sister is to get married to a person for money, Bosepandi, who is against their family's profit-oriented beliefs, tries to stop the marriage. In the end, he succeeds in doing so.

As the varuthapadatha valibar sangam becomes more popular, the village head (Aadukalam Naren) invites Bosepandi to contest in the upcoming panchayat elections, leading to a political battle between Bosepandi and his rival, Rajapandi (Muthuraman). The elections heat up, and soon Bosepandi and Rajapandi have a fight which leads to a riot. This fight results in Bosepandi being attacked, and he is admitted to the hospital.

Meanwhile, Lathapandi leaves for Chennai to attend college, and everyone including Bosepandi believes that she will forget him. But as fate would have it, she comes back after her education and meets Bosepandi, who is completely healed. Bosepandi and Lathapandi get back together.
