Varnajaalam is a Tamil film released in 2004. It focuses on a retired policeman named Devanathan and his family, which includes his brother and sister-in-law as well as his teenage daughter and young adult son. A young man named Daniel comes into the family’s life and, after saving Devanathan's life from a group of violent criminals, soon becomes an important part of the family. After a while, the family realizes that Daniel is not who he seems to be. Daniel begins unraveling the past that Devanathan has so desperately tried to keep from his family.
