Valley of Ditches is a 2017 psychological horror-thriller film, directed and written by Christopher James Lang. The movie follows the story of an attractive young woman, named Emilia (Amanda Todisco), who is kidnapped and left to die in a remote valley in the desert. Her crazy and twisted kidnapper, named Billy (Russell Bradley Fenton), brutally tortures and abuses her before finally leaving her for dead in a ditch.

Emilia must then endure the harsh conditions and brutal heat of the desert valley as she struggles to survive and escape. Along the way, she meets another victim, a thirsty and injured hiker named Jack (Jeremy Sless), who is also stranded and fighting for his life. The two of them must work together to find a way out of the valley and to escape from the clutches of their twisted kidnapper.

As Emilia and Jack journey through the barren desert valley, they start to uncover the true horrors of their kidnapper's twisted mind. The deeper they explore, the more they realize that they are not alone in the valley. They encounter strange and unsettling things that threaten to break their spirit and sanity.

Valley of Ditches is a gripping and unsettling movie that keeps the viewers on the edge of their seats. The film explores the dark depths of the human psyche and the horrors that people are capable of inflicting on one another. It is a stark portrayal of the power dynamics between the captor and the captive.

Amanda Todisco delivers a powerful performance as Emilia, portraying the character's vulnerability and resilience in equal measure. Her character is tormented and brutalized, but she refuses to give up and fights hard for her survival. Russell Bradley Fenton is equally brilliant as the deranged and sadistic Billy. He portrays the character's twisted and psychotic nature perfectly.

Jeremy Sless's performance as the injured hiker, Jack, is also noteworthy. He provides a much-needed source of hope and humor in the midst of this intense and dark film. His character adds depth and complexity to the story and provides a sense of humanity to an otherwise bleak and desolate landscape.

The cinematography in Valley of Ditches is also stunning. The harsh and barren desert landscape adds to the eerie and unsettling tone of the movie. The camera work is expertly done to capture the sense of isolation and desperation that the characters feel.

The soundtrack of the movie is also worth mentioning. The haunting and eerie music contributes to the suspense and terror of the film. The score sets the perfect mood for the audience and creates an unsettling atmosphere that permeates throughout the entire movie.

Overall, Valley of Ditches is a well-crafted and intense horror-thriller, that is not for the faint of heart. The movie delivers on all fronts: the acting is superb, the cinematography and soundtrack are excellent, and the story is gripping and terrifying. Christopher James Lang's directorial debut is a success and his unique vision makes him a filmmaker to watch out for in the future.

Valley of Ditches is a 2017 thriller with a runtime of 1 hour and 20 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 3.9.
